The Valley of Wesak is a Focus of Light on Earth in an unannounced place on the northern side of the Himalayan Mountains, near the frontier of Nepal and some four hundred miles west of Lhasa. It is a sacred place: it is not a Temple, it has no anchored Flame, and it has no Hierarch. Lord Maitreya is associated with the Valley. Every year, at the full moon of May, the Wesak Festival is held there in honor of Lord Gautama, the Lord of the World, and Lord Maitreya descends to the Valley and dispenses to all who gather in the Valley the Love and Blessings of the Lord of the World.
